2006 Fair of Traditional Seeds Krahô

Since 1997, Embrapa Genetic Resources and Biotechnology, in partnership with FUNAI and the association União das Aldeias Krahô - KAPEY, invests in the promotion of fairs of changes of indigenous seeds. Those events strengthen the alimentary safety and the conservation in situ/on farm. The fairs allow the exchange of agricultural varieties and promote deep discussions related to the conservation of the agrobiodiversity.
